This week at Just Add Ink, our challenge is to create something using this very pretty photo that Jodene found
And this is what I came up with.
Now, I must admit, I made my card based on a memory of a conversation we DT girls had regarding the colours in this photo. For some reason, my memory thought the colours were more Peach/Apricot, but in hindsight (and when I looked at the picture), it's probably more of a coral. Oops. I was going to redo it using Calypso Coral instead of the Peach Parfait that I used but I got sidetracked tonight playing some new Wii games I picked up today from Dick Smith's closing down sale - got to love a bargain!
Originally this was going to be a kind of 1 layer card - I had masked off where the sentiment is but when I removed the mask - copy paper that I had adhered with my beloved Dotto, the Dotto ripped the top of my cardstock, so I had to make a 'panel' for the sentiment. I'm not really sorry about that because I changed my mind on where I wanted to place the sentiment anyway :)
Well, that's it from me, be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team have come up with - lots of beautiful projects for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend. Hopefully the weather will actually be as nice as predicted.
Supplies Used: Stampin' Up! unless noted otherwise
Stamps: Fanciful Flowers (Annabelle Stamps)
Ink: Peach Parfait, Pool Party, Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Whisper White

This is a gorgeous colour combo and a very striking card Jo. Love that flower!
Love this CAS card - the pop of flowers looks great :)
There are no mistakes, only creative opportunities! I love your card, I think it looks perfect the way it is.
You do simple and striking so well Jo. Your dotto mishap certainly worked out well as the sentiment looks great overlaid on the pattern.

It is really lovely, Jo. We all see different things in an inspiration photo, and your creation is beautiful!
It really is a beautiful colour combination Jo - I love your one layered card and your stamping
A vibrant card, and the c&S sentiment compliments it perfectly.
