JAI #26 - Design Team Debut!!!!!

Oh My Goodness - it's finally here, my design team debut!    I'm so excited and nervous all at once.  Thank you to all of you who have left me messages of congratulations, it's so very much appreciated.  *hugs* to you all!

This week's challenge is Just Add - EMBOSSING.  Heat embossing is one of my favourite techniques.  It was the first thing I tried when I started stamping.  I still remember how cool it was watching that powder melt before my eyes.

Anyway, this is what I came up with

I thought I'd also add in a little dry embossing as well, so I dry embossed a 'frame' on my watercolour paper.  I then masked the edges and stamped the daisies using Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.  I then made up a wash of water and a couple of drops of Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive reinkers and brushed it all over the watercolour paper using a paintbrush.  Then I waited for it to dry, which took AGES.  When it was dry, I matted it onto some Basic Black, wrapped some Linen Thread around a few times and added the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Tiny Tags, stamped using Black StazOn onto watercolour paper and punched out using the Jewelry Tag punch.  I also dry embossed a couple of lines at the bottom of the card base and added the main image using dimensionals.

So that's it - first assignment over!  Thanks for visiting and look forward to seeing your challenge entries.  Hope your day is a good one
